As part of my design studies, we look intensively into colour and colour theory. I really enjoy this subject because it gets us away from the computers to paint and draw, which is something you don’t always get time to do as a designer.
This brief was design 4 wine labels for an export Australian wine named ‘Montage’. Each of the 4 labels was to represent each of the 4 seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter – by using colour. First up, we were to draw up one image then use that image to make a collage with papers of varying colours and textures that would best portray that season.
Here’s what I came up with.
Result: yes, another Distinction!
