Since 2007 we had work closely with the Australia Day Council of NSW to create a strong and unique brand. In 2008 it was our brief was to unify the look of all existing art whilst refreshing and reinforcing the existing visual identify. The brief required us to evolve the current brand look and feel whilst retaining key identity elements such as the logo and the ribbon device introduced in 2007.
In 2008 we extended the visual identity by adding new fonts and a distinctly ‘Australian’ colour palette. We also enhanced the tactile nature of the identity by introducing recycled paper stocks and special finishes (such as silver and gold stamped foils).
The resulting visual identity and creative roll-out was widely acclaimed and elements of the visual identity where used throughout many events on Australia Day.
